Grasslands Observatory: Table of Arp Galaxies

The following table of Arp Galaxies is based on the Arp taxonomy in Dennis Webb's Arp Galaxy page. The table contains links to images of the Arp Galaxies obtained at the Grasslands Observatory by James McGaha and Tim Hunter. All black and white images are one minute exposures through a clear filter. They were taken from November 1998 to August 1999. The images have not been processed except for bias and dark subtraction, flat fielding, and contrast enhancement. They were cropped to show the objects of interest, and the image width was set to 600 pixels. The color images of selected Arp galaxies were obtained at various times in the past from 1995 to the present.

More detailed information about Arp galaxies can be found in a variety of sources, including MegaStar, The Sky, and Dennis Webb's Arp Galaxy page. All images are oriented with the North at the top and the West to the right. The image scale varies from image to image due to the differing degrees of cropping. Nevertheless, it is possible to compare two different images to observe the relative size of different Arp galaxies.
